Virginia Venture Partners (VVP) is the equity investment program of the Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC), dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and founding teams building transformative companies in Virginia. VVP invests in technology, cybersecurity, life sciences, energy, and aerospace startups through grants, pre-seed, and seed-stage funding, providing the critical support needed to fuel company growth and success. VVP's mission is to amplify Virginia's innovation-driven economy by connecting innovators with opportunities and fostering the growth of high-potential startups across the Commonwealth.

VVP offers a range of funding programs tailored to different stages of company development. These include the Launch Grant, Launch Note, VVP Pre-Seed Investment, and VVP Seed Investment, with amounts ranging from $50,000 to $1 million. The funding is designed to accelerate companies toward the next stage of growth, with varying match requirements and company stages. VVP's investment decisions are guided by the Virginia Venture Partners Investment Advisory Board, which includes leading regional entrepreneurs, angel investors, and venture capital firms.

Since its inception in 2005, VVP has deployed $32.4 million in capital across more than 250 portfolio companies, including 17 companies in designated Opportunity Zones. VVP's investments aim to generate significant economic returns for entrepreneurs, co-investors, and the Commonwealth of Virginia, contributing to the expansion and diversification of Virginia's economy. VVP collaborates with local, regional, state, and federal partners to support the growth of Virginia's entrepreneurial ecosystem and to position the state as a leader in technology and economic development.
