Wangara Green Ventures is a climate-focused impact investment firm based in Ghana, West Africa. The firm invests between USD 50,000 and USD 500,000 in small and growing businesses engaged in renewable energy, waste and water management, climate-smart agriculture, and energy efficiency. Their objective is to contribute to the growth of the green economy in Africa by providing green businesses with patient capital and technical assistance for their growth. Investments are made in the local currency through equity and quasi-equity instruments.

Wangara Green Ventures is currently developing its first fund, with a target fund size of USD 10 million and a minimum fund size of USD 4 million. The firm is sponsored by Innohub Foundation through the Ghana Climate Venture Facility from the World Bank, with support from the governments of Denmark and the Netherlands under the InfoDev Climate Technology Program. Their vision is to provide green small and growing businesses with the required patient capital and technical assistance to enable them to create jobs, improve livelihoods, and drive inclusive growth in a climate-resilient and gender-responsive way.
