WOCstar Fund is an early-stage venture capital firm dedicated to investing in technology startups led by women of color and diverse, inclusive teams. Founded in 2018 and based in New York, the firm focuses on sectors such as media, data/AI, and consumption, aiming to empower underrepresented entrepreneurs and foster innovation in these areas. The fund's investment strategy, termed 'Builder Capital,' emphasizes building alongside dynamic founders to transform startups into scaled successes, aligning investor and founder goals for mutual benefit.

The firm has attracted a diverse group of investors, including individuals, family offices, and institutional investors, all committed to supporting women of color in the tech industry. Notable investors include Jacki Zehner, co-founder of Women Moving Millions and former Goldman Sachs partner, and Dalila Wilson-Scott, EVP and Chief Diversity Officer at Comcast NBCUniversal. The fund's portfolio includes companies like Samba TV, Hemster, Re-Nuble, Uncharted Power, FilmHedge, Infinite Objects, Possip, Sports Innovation Lab, Flow, Inc., and Moment.ai.

WOCstar Fund also launched the WOCstar Venture Scout program to cultivate a new generation of leaders focused on investing in women of color tech startups. Additionally, the WOCstar Media Foundation supports entrepreneurs and creators who use their innovation to drive societal change, amplifying diverse voices in finance, entrepreneurship, media, and entertainment.
