Yali Capital is a Bengaluru-based venture capital firm established in 2023, dedicated to supporting early-stage deep-tech startups in India. The firm concentrates on sectors such as semiconductors, genomics, robotics, aerospace, and artificial intelligence, aiming to foster innovation and growth within these industries. The firm has raised ₹893 crore (approximately $104 million) for its maiden deep-tech-focused fund, exceeding its original target of ₹500 crore and ₹310 crore greenshoe option. The fund aims to deploy capital across early-stage and late-stage investments in deep-tech sectors, with a focus on supporting startups that are poised to lead the next wave of global innovation, particularly in the Indian context. The team at Yali Capital brings a combined 60 years of experience in the deep-tech domain, with backgrounds in semiconductor, life sciences, machine learning, and venture capital, enabling them to provide both financial support and strategic guidance to their portfolio companies. The firm's investor base includes corporates like Infosys and Qualcomm Ventures, funds of funds such as the DPIIT Fund of Funds for Startups (managed by SIDBI), and notable individuals like Kris Gopalakrishnan and Gopal Srinivasan.
