Yayasan Sabah Group

Established in 1966, Yayasan Sabah Group is a state-owned investment holding company in Malaysia. Its primary objectives include providing education and educational facilities for all Malaysians in Sabah, promoting equitable distribution of economic wealth among the people in Sabah, and offering aid to charitable institutions and victims of natural disasters. Over the years, the Group has diversified its activities to meet the evolving needs of the state, encompassing sectors such as education, real estate, plantations, forestry, biotechnology, horticulture, fisheries, oil and gas, transportation, manufacturing, tourism, conventions and exhibitions, media, retail, and technology.

The Group's investment strategy focuses on growth, late-stage, and buyout opportunities, with a minimum investment size of $1,000,000 and a maximum of $50,000,000. Geographically, its investments are primarily concentrated in Malaysia. The industries of interest include education, real estate, plantations, forestry, biotechnology, horticulture, fisheries and food, oil and gas, transportation, manufacturing, tourism, conventions and exhibitions, media, retail, and technology.

Yayasan Sabah Group has a strong track record in supporting educational initiatives, having established institutions like Kolej Teknologi Yayasan Sabah (KTYS) and University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) to provide higher education opportunities. Additionally, the Group is recognized for its commitment to conservation and environmental sustainability, managing extensive forest reserves and conservation areas in Sabah.
