Zegona Communications

Zegona Communications is a UK-based investment company established in 2015, focusing on the European telecommunications, media, and technology sectors. The company aims to acquire underperforming network-based communications businesses and enhance their value through strategic realignments and operational improvements. Zegona is led by former Virgin Media executives Eamonn O'Hare and Robert Samuelson.

In 2015, Zegona acquired Telecable, a regional cable and telecommunications company in Asturias, Spain, for €640 million. The company sold Telecable to Euskaltel in 2017 for €686 million, subsequently acquiring a significant stake in Euskaltel. In 2024, Zegona completed the acquisition of Vodafone Spain for €5 billion, marking a significant expansion in the Spanish telecommunications market.
